Select Drapery Hardware
Select Drapery Medallions provide a very secure installation for all weights of window treatments.
Attach the metal base plate to the wall using the recommended anchors for your wall. Place the wood base over the metal base plate.
You can choose to use one or both of the
post pieces depending on the type of treatment you have. Each piece is 2" long so you will have either a 2" or 4" projection.
You can drape fabric over the post or slide a tab that is sewn to your window treatment or panel over the post. Do you need a drapery medallion or a tieback for our window treatment?
You need to determine how much fabric needs to be on the post.
This Fleur De Lis Tieback from House Parts has a nice post for fabric to drape over. It also has a screw at the end of the post for installation. An anchor is included if you are installing into drywall but it isn't as secure for heavy fabrics as the Select Hardware type of installation. The Tiebacks from Old World Drapery Hardware and Paris Texas have the secure installation hardware too.
A drapery medallion has a screw in the back for installation. There is no post. This oval medallion from House Parts has a nice collar that fits snug to the wall. It has an indentation for a tab from a valance to fit into nicely.
If you love a medallion style, you can use a post to turn it into a tieback. House Parts and Old World Hardware offer these posts.
Drapery Panels can also be hung from drapery medallions or tiebacks. Usually there is alot of fabric in the pleat and you need a post for clearance. If it is light weight fabric you can use a House Parts product but if it is heavy we recommend a product with a more secure installation.
